The key information that your wedding invitation needs to include

When you choose your wedding invitation the first thing that comes to mind is the fact that you are going to want to make a great first impression.

This means that you are going to have spent plenty of time on the design, look and feel of your invitations.

But what this doesn’t mean is that you should ever disregard just how important the information that your invitation includes is.

So, to help you to make sure that your invitation is not only the best for design, but also the best that it can be for all the key information that it needs to include, we have put together our guide to the key things that your invites should include.

Your names

Sounds obvious we know, but this can be something which is all too easy to overlook.

Your wedding invitation is one of the last times that you are going to use your maiden name formally, which means that you should definitely make sure that they are included.

Their name(s)

You should never ever make your wedding invitation ambiguous as this can lead to confusion.

Not only do you need to include the name of your lead guest or guests, but you also need to include whether they can bring a plus one, or whether or not their kids are invited too.

The date and time

Without this information your guests are going to have a really hard time actually making it to your wedding.

In the rush of putting together and then sending out the invitations, this can make it all too easy to miss out on the smaller details, even ones that are as important as this.

Your venues

Some couples have their ceremony and reception in the same place, however, some may choose two separate venues.

If you have a separate venue for each part of your big day then you are going to want to include both of the addresses in the invitation, making it clear which part of the day it relates too.

It also makes sense to ensure that the guests know of your planned timings as this will also add to them knowing when they need to be there.

Your RSVP

It is important that you know whether or not your guests are going to be able to make your wedding day.

So, the RSVP is really important to include.

Make your RSVP clear, as well as where to send it and when by.

This will make sure that your guests know when to send through and that you don’t have to chase your guests to know what is going on.

Your invitations are incredibly important and it is key that you think about how you can best put them together and include all the information that needs to be in there.

Else you could have guests that don’t even know when your wedding is or how to get there, not exactly the best party ever!
