The Newest Wedding Trends

As wedding DJs we see a real variety of different themes and styles of weddings.

This means that whilst we are not experts in designing the perfect wedding, we do know a bit about what people are choosing to do with their big day.

The world of weddings is one that is always changing, and there are always new trends for brides and grooms to consider.

Want to try something new for your big day? Here are some of the latest trends that we have seen of late.

Having an artist capture your wedding

Artists at weddings are not a new thing, but getting them to paint a “live portrait” of your big day is.

Not only is this great fun, but it is also a unique way to capture the beauty and romance of your wedding day, and creates something that you can treasure (and display) for a lifetime.

Framing the dress

Chances are that a large chunk of your budget will have been allocated against the dress, so why not turn it into a work of art?

Dress framing sounds a bit strange, but this particular trend is really taking off at the moment.

Not only is it a great way to display the dress, but it also keeps it safe and protected from dust and dirt!

Taking lip-syncing to the next level, a marryoke video is when you get your videographer to capture you, and all your guests lip syncing along to your wedding song of choice.

Not only is this lots of fun to capture, but it is a great way to remember all those friends and family that were there on the day, and you can easily share it on social media afterwards for all of them to enjoy.

3D-printed cake toppers

Over the year’s cake toppers have grown.

Far from being just a bog-standard addition to your cake, they are now works of art in their own right.

The latest trend is for the bride and groom to have 3D printed cake toppers made, creating a fun likeness of themselves and a funky focal point of their cake!

With the 2017 wedding season just about to kick off, we are really looking forward to see what new trends crop up over the next few months.

We are sure that with so many creative brides and grooms out there, that we are sure to see some interesting additions to the wedding ceremony, reception or perhaps after the event!
