Choosing your wedding venue – how to get it right

One of the biggest decisions that you are going to make for your wedding day is which wedding venue you are going to choose.

This makes it a hard decision and one that can often take time to make.

So, to help you to make sure that you choose the right wedding venue for your big day, we have put together the things that you need to keep in mind when going through this search.

Consider your budget

The last thing that you are going to want is to fall in love with a venue for your wedding day and then find out that it is way above your budget.

So, the first thing that you need to consider is your budget.

It isn’t always fun to think of the numbers, however, it is a really good idea to start there.

Have a rough guest count in mind

Another important thing to think about when it comes to your wedding venue is how many guests you are likely to have coming.

You don’t need firm numbers at this stage, but what you do need to think about is whether or not you are going to want an intimate and close wedding in a small venue, or one that is large with lots of guests.

Make a list of what is a priority to you both

In order to find the best wedding venue, you need to have in mind what it is that you actually want from your venue.

You need to come together as a couple and you need to figure out what it is that is most important to you both.

Once you have this list in mind, you can start to figure out what is the best venue possible for you.

Do they have accommodation?

Some wedding venues allow for guests to stay over, whilst some do not. Obviously if you’re getting married at a tiny Alpine property venue, there’ll be no space for your guests.

You need to consider whether or not this is important for you.

Think about your guests, think about what they are going to need and also consider your location, all of these things will have an impact on whether or not accommodation is an important part of your wedding venue.

Ask what is included

When you are looking at your wedding venue, you might want to consider how much is included in the price that you are paying.

Some couples want to take control of the particular aspects of their wedding day, some are happy to book everything all in one, it is important that you find out what the venue you have chosen is able to offer you.

These are just some of the top tips when it comes to thinking about wedding venue, if you take your time, consider things carefully and plan as much as you can, then we can promise you that you will find the perfect venue for your big day.
