Choosing your bride tribe? Here is how to get it right!

One of the biggest decisions for any bride to be is who she wants standing by her side during the wedding day.

Her bride tribe is not only responsible for keeping her calm, but also for the hen party and other parts of wedding prep.

It is vital that you take the time to think about who you want as your bride tribe for your big day, as you will want to choose the right women for the job.

For some brides this can be an easy and obvious choice, however, for others they might need to carefully think about how they choose their bridesmaids.

How many is too many?

The first thing that you need to think about is how many you want in your bride tribe.

There are no strict limits on bridesmaids, but you may want to make sure that the numbers are balanced, especially for photos.

You may also want to make sure that you are not swamped by other ladies, so try to keep the numbers below 10.

Ask your partner for their thoughts

Whilst it is entirely your decision who you pick for your bride tribe, it doesn’t hurt to ask for some input from your partner on who they think would be right for the job.

Chances are, they will have the same idea as you, but they may also have some interesting input to give you.

Think about whether they will fit what you need from them

The maid of honour is the right-hand woman to the bride.

She is there to make sure that she has the best day possible and keep her calm.

Therefore, when it comes to picking her, you need to know that she will be able to do this for you.

When it comes to the bridesmaids, you need to make sure that they are reliable, that they will do what they say they will and that you can trust in them.

Picking someone because you feel that you should, even though you don’t really know if you want them there.

Well, that is a recipe for disaster.

Don’t be offended if they say no

When you have chosen someone to be a part of your bride tribe, then chances are that you expect them to say yes straightaway, after all, it is an honour to be asked.

That said, there are some ladies who might not be able to agree to it, they may have other things going on, or they may just not feel that they can give it their all.

If they do say no, then don’t be offended.

It may not be about you at all and it is not worthwhile ruining a friendship over it.

When you pick the right bride tribe you should have the best wedding day possible, so, make sure that you never rush this decision and you will always make the right choice.
